Parking in Portoroz can be found on the gravel parking lot at the Marina, on the asphalt parking lots along the coastal road, at the salt warehouses in the garage or in front of the TPC Lucija, starting at 50 cents per hour. From autumn to spring, some car parks along the coastal road are free of charge. It is difficult to find free parking in Piran, so we recommend you visit it on your bike. You can park in Portorož using an easy-to-use parking app. All you have to do is upload funds via PayPal from which you pay the parking fee. Detailed instructions are available at each parking meter. Traffic wardens no longer need a parking ticket on the windshield. They need your license plate to be written in their system. The application is available for devices running Android and iOS platforms.
Parking in Portoroz is really easy, as they allow you to pay your parking fee by SMS in the first place. You can renew your parking from anywhere and you don't need to return to your vehicle or to the meter. The system sends a free SMS alert 15 minutes before the parking fee expires, to which the user can respond and easily renew the parking fee. If you want to pay in cash, you need to have some coins with you as the machines do not accept notes.
